Perfume FAQs
The steel ball can be veery tight in the socket when brand new, so the perfume oil may not be flowing adequately. To get it rolling, fold up a paper towel or napkin and place on a hard surface like a table or countertop. Open your roller and very firmly press the ball into the paper towel several times, rolling and shaking it in between presses. If you've ever used paint markers, it's kind of the same process as you use to get them started. It make take several tries, but eventually the the ball will be loose enough to keep the oil flowing when you roll onto your skin.
Our roll on perfumes oil-based and absorb rather than diffuse. Because the scent does not diffuse widely, they are a more intimate scent experience - someone will smell it if they hug you but probably not from a couple of feet away.
Our eau de parfum sprays are alcohol based so the fragrance sits on the skin and diffuses as the alcohol evaporates, causing the scent trail know as sillage. They are great if you want your scent to carry a bit. Read more about the difference in perfume concentration HERE.
The answer is, "it depends."
Our roll on perfumes are a higher concentration of fragrance, but as they are oil-based will absorb into the skin. Absorption speed varies by person based on factors like skin moisture, skin oiliness, humidity, perspiration, temperature, etc. They'll typically last 5-8 hours on the skin, depending on these variables. However, because of the oil base the scent does not diffuse widely and they are more of an intimate scent experience - someone will smell it if they hug you but probably not from a couple of feet away.
Our eau de parfum sprays are lower fragrance concentration but are alcohol based so the fragrance sits on the skin and diffuses as the alcohol evaporates, causing the scent trail know as sillage. They are great if you want your scent to carry a bit. They'll typically last 4-6 hours but that can also vary based on humidity, temperature, perspiration and skin moisture.
