CANDLES

Soy wax is a natural, renewable alternative to traditional paraffin wax, which is derived from petroleum and a known carcinogen. Soy wax is made from the hydrogenated oil of soybeans, and is a vegan and eco-friendly alternative to paraffin. It holds scent well, burns cleanly with little soot and is purified during processing to remove pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified materials from the source soybeans. LEARN MORE
Traditionally, candles were made with paraffin wax. An end-product of petroleum, Paraffin contains up to 11 carcinogenic compounds deemed 'toxic air contaminants' by the State of California. Paraffin candle soot particles contain many of the same compounds as burning diesel fuel. The petrol-carbon soot that paraffin wax emits can blacken walls, ceilings, and furniture, contaminate ventilation ductwork in your home, as well as add toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe. Soy candles are better for people, pets and the planete. Soy wax is non-toxic and burns cleaner than paraffin, with no petrol-carbon soot. Soy candles burn slower and at cooler temperatures cooler than paraffin wax, giving them a long life-span. Soy wax is derived from soybeans, making it vegan and naturally biodegradable. It's also easier to clean up if spilled on other surfaces, and comes out of clothing in the wash. There are other types of wax used for candles and you can learn more about them HERE.
Because of their melt point, soy candles are long lasting.
- The burn time for our 3 oz Travel Candles is 15 hours.

DIFFUSERS

Reed diffusers are made of a scented liquid in a leak-proof vessel and fabric, wood or cane reeds which draw the liquid up and then disperse it into the air through evaporation. As the liquid evaporates, the fragrance molecules are carried in the air, imparting a soft background fragrance in the space. They are very simple to use and require minimal maintenance for steady scent for months: we call it set-and-forget fragrance!
Charcoal wand diffusers are very similar to reed diffusers. Instead of using wood, fiber or cane reeds, a charcoal wand is used to disperse the fragrance into your room. You use a charcoal wand diffuser much the same way as a reed diffuser. Pour your scented diffuser oil into a lead-proof bottle or vessel (our Zen diffusers vessel are perfect for this) and place the charcoal wand into the vessel. As the diffuser oil travels up the charcoal wand, it will evaporate and disperse through the air in your space.
Scent strength for reed diffusers will vary based on the fragrance blend. Some fragrance blends have strong scent note profiles and some have weaker note profiles, so the overall strength will depend on what blend you choose. That said, reed diffusers tend to be a lighter fragrance experience than candles or sprays. They work well as a soft background fragrance in rooms, a simple way to set-and-forget your ambient room fragrance. Scent strength will also depend on the number/type of reeds used, the size of the space you are placing them in, and environmental factors such as airflow, temperature, humidity and sunlight.
Our rule of thumb is one reed diffuser per 75-100 sf of space for a consistent background fragrance that you can smell, without overpowering inhabitants. This means that you’ll need more than one reed diffuser in larger areas, strategically placed around the room. In a small enclosed powder room, bathroom or hall, or bedroom, one reed diffuser is probably sufficient.
We suggest starting with using 3-5 reeds in your reed diffuser bottle and adding more after a few days if you’d like more fragrance. The number of reeds you use may vary based on the scent, environmental conditions of the space you are using it in, size of the space and how strong you want the fragrance to be.
We suggest flipping your diffuser reeds every 2-3 weeks. Simply remove the reeds from the bottle, and flip them upside down before reinserting. As diffusers can last for several months, you may want to replace your reeds entirely once they become saturated and you notice the scent has faded. This typically happens after 3-4 months and you can remove the old reeds and insert brand new ones and then proceed with regular flipping to maintain your fragrance!
You may be able to use our diffuser liquid in your electronic (battery or electrical plug powered) diffuser, but we suggest checking the manufacturer operating instructions for your particular appliance to be sure. Our diffusers are made with a proprietary blend of diffuser oil combined with our essential oil clean fragrance blends. They are between 15-25% fragrance load, depending on the specific scent profile. You may prefer to use our concentrated oil blends, which are much stronger and not diluted - it only takes a few drops for most electronic diffusers, similar to using essential oils. Again, we recommend checking the manufacturer operating instructions for your particular appliance before using.
Reed diffusers typically last 3-6 months when in active use. This can be longer or shorter, depending on the environment used in. They have a shelf life of several years if unopened.

EVERYWHERE SPRAY

Everywhere Spray is a room, body and linen-safe spray made with organic, natural ingredients and clean fragrance and essential oil blends. It uses a base of organic, denatured cane alcohol and distilled water and does not include dangerous chemicals such as propylene glycol, formaldehyde, parabens, and phthalates.

Our Everywhere Spray is room-safe. You can use it as a room refresher where candles and diffusers are not practicable or when you need a super-fast refresh on the fly.

The length a scent will last when you spray in a room will vary based on the specific fragrance blend (some notes are stronger than others) and what kinds of surfaces and furnishings are in the space. If you have carpeting, upholstered furniture and drapery, you may notice the scent lingering longer than if you have mostly hard surfaces like tile or wood floors, counter tops and hard furnishings. That’s because when you spray, the liquid drops will land on soft goods and be absorbed by the fibers and tend to evaporate more slowly over time. The liquid drops tend to dry and evaporate much more quickly on hard surfaces. However, you can expect a fresh scent for 15-90 minutes.

Our Everywhere Spray is body-safe. You can use it like an all-over body spray, as a light perfume or cologne, or even as a natural, aluminum-free deodorant. The organic alcohol base makes it very versatile for body use. However, only use externally, avoid eyes, nose, ears and mouth or more sensitive parts of the body. We do always recommend skin testing on a small area on your body such as your inner forearm, upper arm or collarbone area, especially if you have more sensitive skin. This can tell you if you will react to any of the ingredients before using all over.

While fragrance strength varies among scents (some are stronger or lighter than others) and skin and body chemistry are unique to every person, we find that Everywhere Spray tends to last 1-3 hours on the body for most users. Using more spritzes, or a stronger fragrance blend could increase this. Everywhere Spray is our lowest concentration of room and body clean scent products (about 3% fragrance) so it will be a lighter fragrance load by design. If you prefer a stronger fragrance load, try our Eau de Parfums or roll-on oils for body, or room diffuser, concentrated oil or candles for rooms.

Our Everywhere Spray is linen-safe. You can use it as a bedding freshener or on dry towels and blankets in the linen closet. You can also use on damp sheets, towels and blankets if you are air or line drying them. Do not use on wet sheets, towels or blankets if you are putting them in a heated dryer. We do always recommend fabric testing on a small, inconspicuous area of your fabric before using, to ensure no staining or discoloration occurs. Our spray does include oils, which could stain or discolor some fabrics.

Our Everywhere Spray is formulated to be safe for people, pets and planet. However, it is important to note that many animals are more sensitive to scent than humans are and in different ways. So be kind to your furry friends and avoid spraying directly on or above them and be mindful that they may not enjoy a heavily fragranced environment. Our Everywhere Sprays are good for 12-18 months, and potentially longer if you store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and temperature variations. There is nothing in them that can “go bad” or expire, however fragrances (especially those in our clear or frosted bottles) can be affected by UV light exposure, heat, humidity and temperature variations. As for how many uses you can get out of our sprays, that depends on how many spritzes you are doing at a time. If you are a daily user and heavy spritzer, you may need to replenish every 4-8 weeks. If you use less frequently and only one spritz at a time, you can get months of use from your Everywhere Spray!

Because our Everywhere Sprays are made from organic & natural ingredients, they can sometimes separate after sitting for a while. Not to worry, just give the bottle a gently shake to mix, and you are ready to spritz.

Yes, our Everywhere Sprays are safe for sensitive skin and have our lowest concentration of essential and clean fragrance oils .While we do use organic, natural, phthalate and paraben-free ingredients, every body is different and reactions could still occur. If you have highly reactive skin or suffer from skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, we highly recommend skin testing on a small area of your body such as your inner forearm, upper arm, neck or stomach area. This can tell you if you will react to any of the ingredients or have skin irritations. Additionally, we always suggest you start with fewer spritzes and add more once you confirm no reactions.

PERFUME

The steel ball can be veery tight in the socket when brand new, so the perfume oil may not be flowing adequately. To get it rolling, fold up a paper towel or napkin and place on a hard surface like a table or countertop. Open your roller and firmly press the ball into the paper towel several times, rolling it in between presses. If you've ever used paint markers, it's kind of the same process as you use to get them started. It make take several times but the the ball should be loose enough to keep the oil flowing when you roll onto your skin.
